Work Experience Program

 Overview of Program

As an extension of the vocational curriculum at Jena High School, the Jena High School Work Experience Program is being continued by the LaSalle Parish School Board during the 2002-2003 school year.  Students who are enrolled in the program have been placed at work sites according to their interests, involvement in specific high school courses, and/or their career focus.  These students work during the school day and, upon completion, will receive Carnegie units for this work experience.  They will also receive a work experience certificate stating the name of their workplace, number of work hours completed, and the student's responsibilities while at the workplace.
